Cavallino Classic Best of Show Among Nominees
This is the second year that the Peninsula Hotel Group is hosting The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award, chosen from eight top flight Concours from around the world.
One of the nominees is the Best of Show from the 2016 Cavallino Classic and it is Lee Herrington’s beautiful 400 Superfast II. This remarkable Ferrari was a Pininfarina show car that was used by Pininfarina to display and study new design ideas and details over a several year period. Many of these styling innovations were incorporated into the designs of other Ferraris, some of which became iconic Ferrari symbols. This 400 Superfast II is the worthy nominee based on its historical significance as well as its sheer beauty. Cavallino featured this Superfast II in #211.
The winner will be announced at the Best of the Best Awards Gala Dinner on August 15 and it will be on display at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on Friday, August 18, at Quail Lodge and Golf Club in Carmel, California.

From these Best of Show winners, a Best of the Best will be chosen by the panel of internationally distinguished judges, including automotive designers, collectors and marque experts.
