500 Ferraris Help the Fight Against Cancer 2017

On the first weekend of June, 2017, several hundred Ferraris of all eras again converged on the Circuit du Val de Vienne, near Poitiers, in the middle of France, and this has been the same (happy) story for 23 years.
Indeed, besides the 900 sport, prestige and collector cars of all makes in attendance, around 500 Ferraris met at this annual rendezvous, of which the proceeds go to the research against cancer. This year, the aim was to reach the 4 Million euros collected for research against cancer since the first edition, and for sure it will be reached, with more than 45,000 spectators over the three days, and despite a very rainy weather on Saturday.
A touristic rally was held on Saturday, as well as an auction in which private collectors and sponsors offered some items to be auctioned, with all the benefits going also to the great cause.
On Saturday, a Ferrari “Concours d’Etat” was organized for the second time, in which cars from the beginning to 1975 could be entered. Best of Show went to exceptional 500 Mondial Spyder Pinin Farina, s/n 0458 MD, ex-Jean Guichet, and showing an exquisite patina, from Monique and André Binda! This car led the parade on Sunday, before a second start for the F40s, which were celebrating their 20th anniversary.
Year after year, “Sport et Collection” remains the major Ferrari meeting in France and one of the nicest for vintage Ferraris in Europe. Already book your agenda for next year 24th edition, which will be held between May 31th to June 3rd, 2018.
