Palace Het Loo Concours Continues to Grow

On July 1 and 2, 2017 was the 13th International Concours d’Elégance at Palace Het Loo. In the heart of the Netherlands, at the edge of Apeldoorn, lies this famous over 300 year old grand house and gardens and since 1999 it has been the beautiful backdrop of the Concours d’Elégance. On the courts and between the old trees were found the most spectacular classic cars and prototypes in a Royal atmosphere.
This festival devoted to classic automobiles has several main components:
International Concours d’Elégance Palace Het Loo: The International Concours d’Elégance Palace Het Loo is the base pillar of the weekend. Around 70 internationally selected classics battled for the title “Best of Show 2017”. Selected entries were divided into specially formed classes and judged by an international jury on elegance, originality, restoration and presentation.
National Concours d’Elégance Palace Het Loo: Apart from the renowned International Concours we have the National Concours. In this Concours were found the cars that defined the landscape of the 1960s.
In addition: The Classic Sprint; Salon Prive & Sponsor Pavilions; Club Concours - Picnic at the Palace; Royal Fair & Classic Car Sales; Rolling Kitchens & Entertainment; Classic Car Parking; Catwalk & Elégance.
Apart from the competing cars there were a lot of others to be seen - cars from private collections, displays in a theme, Renault Alpine (new and old), 90 years of Volvo and many more… including 70 years of Ferrari.
