Touring Berlinetta Alfa Wins Peninsula Best of the Best
The long and gorgeous 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Berlinetta by Touring, owned by collectors David and Ginny Sydorick, and winner the Best of Show at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, was the Judges choice for The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award.
The fourth annual The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award took place in Paris on February 7, 2019, with the winning 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B announced and presented at an exclusive dinner and party held at the splendid Peninsula Paris.
The Best of the Best Award is among the top automotive awards in the world. In its milestone development of the international motoring world’s top accolade for most exceptional classic car, The Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie, Chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, launched the award in 2015 with co-founders William E. Connor, Bruce Meyer and Christian Philippsen.
Eight stunning Best of Show winners in 2018 from top concours around the world, including the Cavallino Classic, were nominated for the coveted The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award. The cars in contention were carefully reviewed by 26 respected judges, all of whom are leaders in their fields of expertise.
The award brought together the finest classic cars in the world to compete for the title of most exceptional car. It was a celebration of automotive excellence.

1928 Mercedes-Benz 680 S ‘Boat Tail’ Roadster by Barker: Concours of Elegance Hampton Court Palace
1972 Monteverdi 375L High Speed by Fissore: Goodwood Cartier Style et Luxe Concours d’Elegance
1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Berlinetta by Touring: Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
1953 Lancia Aurelia PF200C Spider by Pinin Farina: The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering
1933 Bugatti Type 55 Roadster by Jean Bugatti: Salon Privé
