Announcing New York’s Premiere Motorcar Auction - Oct. 12, 2019
From a 1931 Auburn 8-98A Coupe Roadster to a 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari, the RAND Luxury Motorcar Auction has something for everyone! On October 12th, RAND Luxury will be hosting a collector car auction at the Nassau County Museum of Art with over 50 cars crossing the block, making it the only auction of its kind in the region! Featured cars include – several classic Ferraris, Carroll Shelby’s personal DeTomaso Pantera, Koenigsegg CCX, Bugatti Veyron, Porsche 911 Slantnose Cabriolet, Ferrari Enzo, and much more!
The company was founded by serial entrepreneur Bradford Rand. He and his team have produced over 1,500 events since 1993 including Job Expo, TECHEXPO, The Cyber Security Summit, The Luxury Technology Show, Go Green Expo, Investment Expo, The “Luxury Escape” during Sundance Film Festival, The Tribeca Film Festival, and the Hamptons Luxury Brunch Series. A preview reception will be hosted on Friday, Oct. 11th starting at 6 pm with sponsors like Robert’s Club, Cohiba & more! The following day, Saturday, Oct. 12th, will begin with a luxury brunch at 10 am. The brunch will be a great opportunity to get up close to each and every one of the rare consignments and will lead to the auction which begins at 1 pm.
The museum, sitting on 140+ beautifully-manicured acres is located on the beautiful “Gold Coast” of Long Island, in Roslyn Harbor (just 15 minutes out of New York City) was once home to the legendary Frick Family. A portion of the auction proceeds will be going to benefit this iconic art institution.
RAND Luxury is proud to present The Hine Collection. A collection of British sports cars that has been under single ownership for the past 30 years. With an MG TC, Morgan Plus 4, Jaguar E-Type & XK 140 MC which features a C-Type head from the factory that pushed the car to a top speed of 124 mph. Some all original and others fully restored, this collection will have you driving to tea & crumpets at 10/10ths!
Carroll Shelby has gone down as one of the most famous race car drivers and influential hot rodders in history. Most known for creating the Ford GT40, Shelby Cobra and Shelby GT 350, many don’t know Carroll was a fan of the Italian sports car manufacturer DeTomaso. The DeTomaso Pantera was designed by Tom Tjaarda of Ghia and pair with a Ford 351 Cleveland motor, making it a perfect combination of Italian styling and American Muscle. It’s no shock Carroll was a fan, so much of a fan, Carroll purchased 3 Panteras from DeTomaso, 2 for development purposes and 1 GT5-S that features a custom VIN plate made specifically for Carroll that will be one of the 50+ lots crossing the block on Oct. 12th.
The RAND Luxury Team has selected one of the finest auctioneers in the business, Guy Loveridge, who will be flying in from London exclusively for this event. Author, publisher, broadcaster and world-record-holding auctioneer and racer - Guy has more than 20 years in the collector car business and is thrilled to bring his special English-touch to this special auction.
